Bruce Hanks is a Baptist preacher who is a descendant from Abraham Lincoln through his mother, Nancy Hanks. This picture was taken at our "Celebrate True Freedom" 30th anniversary & mortgage burning. We were all dressed in "old fashioned" costumes. Bruce was himself, in full beard and top hat, a splitting image of Honest Abe. I was George Washington. My Pastor Randy King appears as an old-time preacher. We gave awards for the top three best-dressed families. I took 2nd prize even though I was alone. This was during the 4th of July week,and the city of Oshkosh was coincidentally hosting Revolutionary and Civil War reenactment, with people from around the country. Bruce and I went, in costume, and fit right in. We were able to pass out hundreds of tracts and witness to dozens of people. Several got saved that week. We had well over 1000 for church altogether that day. Dr. Harley Keck preached for us.
