Meteoroids bombarding Saturn's rings would have destroyed them in far less than 20,000 years (not billions).(15)
One of Jupiter's moons, IO, ejects large amounts of materials through volcanoes. Although quite small, it has the most active volcanoes we know of. This proves its youth. A body that small could not continue producing volcanoes for billions of years.(15)
The moon is already far too close to the Earth. It is now known that, due to tidal friction, it is gradually moving farther away from us. Based on the rate of recession, the moon cannot be very old. If it were even 20,000 to 30,000 years old, it would at some time been so close it would have fallen into our planet.(15)
When a meteor strikes the Earth it is called a meteorite. Supposedly this has been happening for millions of years, yet meteorite are only found at, or close to Earths surface. None are ever found in the deeper sedimentary strata. This shows that the Earth is young, and the strata was quickly laid down, not long ago.(15)
A news report stated that the suns diameter appears to be decreasing by 1/10th of 1% per century. This is due to the great amount of heat, light and radiation being sent out. Every hour the sun shrinks about 5 feet. This causes no problems for the creationist because we believe the sun is only 6000 years old, but to an evolutionist it causes a great problem. 100,000 years ago the sun would have been double its size, and 20 million years ago the suns surface would have been touching the Earth, totally vaporizing it. The sun can not possibly be 5 billion years old. (3)
It has been estimated that the breakup of all comets is
taking place at such a rate that they will be entirely disrupted within
a million years. Since a comets maximum age must be the same as the age
of the solar system, how could it all have been here for 4.6 billion years?
