Java Man

Every one of us have heard of Java Man, we learned about him in grade school. They called him the ape-man and told us he was our evolutionary ancestor. We all saw the artists drawings of the beetle-browed, jaw jutting fellow, and were convinced that he existed in that state. Let me tell you the story of Java man, and just how much of him they actual found.

Before the turn of the century a Dutch anatomist, Eugene Dubois, went to the Dutch East Indies in search of the "missing link" between apes and humans.

In 1891, along the bank of the Solo River in Java, he found a skullcap that "seemed" to have a combination of human and ape features.

A year later, about 5 feet away, he found a thigh bone, very human in appearance, that he "assumed" belonged with the skullcap.

Yes, this is all that was ever found!!! All of those pictures and sketches and models are based on a skullcap and thighbone!!.

This would be like handing a mechanic a lug nut and windshield wiper blade and telling him to draw the car that it came from.

Because Java man was found so long ago, and made to fit the evolutionary picture so perfectly, he is synonymous in the popular mind with human evolution (We are talking about a skullcap and thighbone)

The story gets worse from here....

Dubois had gone to this area as an Army doctor and was given permission to look for fossils, it was nothing more than a hobby to him.

He was assigned 2 soldiers to do his digging for him, and was usually sitting back at Headquarters while they did all the work (This still is true in the Army today!!!)

When fossils were found they were sent to him for identification. How could he be certain of the exact location, and layer of the find? His dating depended on this.

He was entirely dependent on the 2 engineers assigned to him, who knew even less about geology then he did. By today's standards these fossils would have been disqualified, yet we base our belief in evolution on this type of evidence.

As far as the thighbone, from the time of its discovery, virtually every authority except Dubois felt it was indistinguishable from a modern human femur. So the great question is if the femur even belongs to the skullcap.

Over the years Dubois changed his story as to the relation the 2 fossils had to each other at the site. He did none of the actual digging or mapping, all maps and diagrams were done after the fact. He first stated that the femur was 10 meters away from the skullcap, later he changed it to 12 meters, later the same month he was quoted at 15 meters. Then went back to 12 meters many years later.

The bottom line is that evolutionist present the skullcap and femur as being from the Java Man, this is what we have been taught for almost 100 years, but it has always been in question since day 1. Were we told this? Is there a disclaimer in school books, or museums? Why the deception?

Again, if the truth about these fossils were to come to light, it would destroy evolution as we know it.
